  • Favorite Chair: Part 2

College, from what I’ve heard, is all about widening your perspectives—whether that be through classes you take, people you meet, or the overall experiences you have as you live away from home.

As I previously mentioned, I am taking a class with many interior design majors, and I was shocked to learn that for the most part, their favorite chairs were specific models—not ones that they’ve ever owned or sat in for long periods of time.

Yesterday however, the lecture was actually on chairs! It was crazy—my professor and TA (aka: the lovely grad student I’m doing research with) brought ~30 chairs into our classroom so we could see some hands on and sit in them as well! They were all amazing—whether that be their design, the innovations behind them, or their comfort. I think my favorite chair now (at least in the interior designer sense sense) is now the womb chair which is supposedly one of the most comfortable chairs on the market.

    Here’s to new perspectives.
