  • “I laughed. I cried. It was better than Cats!”

Last year in stats we were filling out course evals. My stats professor being the funny lady she was told us she’d gotten some pretty weird evaluations before, the weirdest having a comment that said:

“I laughed. I cried. It was better than CATS.”

I basically died laughing in the class (as did the rest of the class), but that is probably the first thing I think of when stats knowledge comes to mind. Also how to calculate Z scores, and those hypothesis test, but anyways, let me get off that tangent and tell you how that relates to what I was going to originally say… Oh yes.

That quote describes how I feel about one of the Modern Family episodes I watched last night despite the fact that I have never seen Cats (the musical). Not to mention I don’t think I’ve ever cried watching a TV show. I also don’t think I’ve ever watched a TV show twice on my own.

Anyways hope you saw it, or hope you may enjoy too!

  • One Last Day of Summer Freedom

I’ve been lucky. My summer break has lasted exactly one month and one day. During this break I have unpacked, slept in, read 4.5 books, run 100 miles, hiked 18 miles/3 mountains, seen le copain twice, seen le extended family once, seen various amies various numbers of times, cooked/baked delicious foods, watched two entire seasons of both Modern Family and Arrested Development, planted some basil (that was yesterday), and for the most part enjoyed myself.

Today I did as I’ve done for one last day.

    • I slept in until 10am.
    • I ran 8 miles (the most I’ve run since January). It was slow, but lovely.
    • I watched 9 episodes of Arrested Development. If you haven’t watched… sooo funny!
    • I read some… (books too, but totes obsessed with J.Crew! (as always))
    • I watched Pretty Little Liars. Exciting as always.
    • I made orange cupcakes too!

Now I guess I’m just anticipating work tomorrow!

  • My New Television Obsession

I have become absolutely obsessed with Sex and the City the past week.

A show full of four very interesting, independent, successful, fashionable, ‘sexy’ women, with a sense of humor and some intellect. I can watch for hours….such as I’m doing now…at 2 o’clock in the morning.

    Blisssss.
    (Although I can’t believe it’s Monday now.)
